HANCOCK EYE ASSOCIATES COMING TO McCORD SQUARE

Announced today, Hancock Eye Associates plans to open a new location in McCordsville, on the first floor of McCord Square Apartments mixed-use building this summer. Momentum continues for business tenant announcements, and additional announcements are expected as construction nears completion.

“We are very excited about this new opportunity. McCordsville is a wonderful community to be a part of,” said Christa Walling, an optometrist of Hancock Eye Associates. “The practice will have three doctors and plan to be open for service four days per week.”

Hancock Eye Associates will occupy a portion of the first floor of McCord Square Apartments’ south building, The Lucas. The fully scoped optometrist practice will include services such as medical eye care and eye emergencies. The practice will also encompass an eye care spa, which plans to offer microneedling and a variety of aesthetic treatments.

“Christa and Nick really share in our vision to bring a premier space and quality neighborhood services to McCord Square,” said Shelby Bowen, CEO of Rebar Development. “Our goal was to attract great local partners to join us in building a thriving downtown and we are excited to see Hancock Eye Associates begin serving the community later this summer.”

Hancock Eye Associates joins previously announced McCord Square tenants Le Peep, NineStar Connect, IU Health, McCordsville Police Department, and development anchor, McCord Square Apartments. The 48-acre mixed-use town center is designed to create spaces where residents and visitors can live, dine, shop, and enjoy recreational activities in the heart of McCordsville.

McCord Square Apartments feature two mixed-use buildings situated around the new civic green at the center of the development. With 205 apartment homes and ground-floor retail spaces in each building, McCord Square offers a thriving environment for residents and small businesses eager to grow in a vibrant market.

“With every new announcement, McCord Square takes another step toward being the heart of the community that it was designed to become,” said Bowen. “We can’t wait to see residents strolling the sidewalks and trails, enjoying the green spaces, dining at the restaurants, and having fun in downtown McCordsville.”
